The Digital Timer is usually small and compact gadgets, which makes them easy to keep out of the way but also easy to lose. Tiny palm-sized devices can slip into an apron pocket and be carried from room to room, while larger timers must stay in place. Some have a kickstand or non-skid padding to keep them stable on the countertop, some have magnets built in and can stick to the oven, fridge, or other appliances, and some have both.
